Racing
Norfolk and East Anglia has a pretty vibrant cycle racing scene and VC Norwich members are often found at most races and cycling events. This section takes a look at the different types of races going on in the area, as well as details of the races we like to travel to.
Criteriums - A criterium, or crit, is a bike race done in laps of a short course (usually less than 5 km), often run on closed-off city center streets. Lots of fun!
Road Racing - the most traditional form of cycle racing: people on bikes, racing on roads. This section gives details of the local leagues and stage races that the team like to participate in.
Mountain bike - despite a distinct lack of hills or mountains, East Anglia has an active mountain biking race scene.
Time Trails - a time trial is an individual or team race over a fixed distance. Rider start individually at timed intervals and the rider with the fastest time wins.
Cyclo Cross - a typical cyclocross race lasts for an hour, and is conducted on a short course with a variety of terrain.
Triathlon - the love child of swimming, cycling and running has become cool in recent years.
